Denatured alchohol is excellent for removing adhesives. Be sure to test it on an area that is out of the way first so you know whether your colors will run. Allow it to soak in and rub with a clean cloth. Remember to do it in a ventilated area and keep flames away, it is highly flamable. It’s available at most hardware stores.
