To keep raccoons and other animals out of your yard, you can make a simple invention. All you need is 3 things; a plastic golf ball( with holes in it), a cotton ball and coyote urine( you can find it at any farming store). What you do is you put the coyote urine on to the cotton ball and then you use pliers to stick the cotton ball into the hole of the golf ball. Then you can attach string to the golf ball.
Once you finish your project you put the golf balls in your garden or along your garage to ward off the raccoons. This works because the raccoons will smell the coyote urine and think that coyotes live nearby. Also humans do not notice the odor( which is a plus). I have used this many times and it has worked! And it doesn't attract coyotes ( I'm pretty sure).
