Can Cockroach Eggs Hatch Without The Mother Taking Care Of Them?
Chicken eggs need the mother to keep the eggs warm in order for them to be able to hatch. What about cockroach eggs? Can they hatch without the mother keeping the eggs warm?
I found a few cockroaches in my home and I’m concern they (if they were females) might have left some eggs behind.

Yes. Buy Boric Acid at the drugstore. Mix 1 part sugar and 1 part boric acid. Shake it in corners and along the walls. Wherever there is food is their favorite. Pull your drawers out and sprinkle on the floor. Behind frig, stove, etc. They will eat the sugar and the boric acid sticks to them and they take it back to their nest and all die, including the eggs. It was the most incredible experience I had dealing with cockroaches. I was very skeptical, but it was amazing. ALL GONE IN 3 DAYS! No kidding !

Sadly, yes, for most all invertebrates, and even many vertebrates (like frogs and fish), no parental care is needed. In fact, cockroach eggs can even be transmitted from one place to the next on people’s shoes and clothing.
Parental care is expensive, and therefore very few vertebrate classes (mainly birds and mammals) can increase their reproductive success by this route.

Not only cockroaches but all insect and reptile eggs do not need the mother to warm them .They can hatch being warmed by ambient temperature. This is why insects lay far more many eggs than birds, hopefully that some of them can hatch. The only mother care is protection from predators.
