your landlord has to do something about this or you can report him for substandard living conditions. they’re termites and his building isn’t being properly managed if he thinks he shouldn’t treat for it.

Boric Acid Dust is probably your best bet.
1) because it is the lowest rating on a toxicity scale.
2) because its low, the residual will last up to a year. (meaning it will still work several months from now.
3) its what is used in daycares, retirement homes, hospitals, restaurants, etc.
buy some boric acid dust (make sure it says that on the ingredients label before you buy) then buy a baby nose plunger thinging. DO NOT USE YOUR BABIES, and DO NOT use the one you buy on anything but this reason. using the plunger, soak up some of the dust into it. then with a wash cloth over your nose and mouth. start pushing the dust into the vent.
what happens is as they come in and out through there they will get the dust on them, much like a bee does with pollen and they will die.
it will take a few days till you see complete results.
good luck

See if your harware store has pest control that plugs into the wall, they give off a high pitch sound, but you can’t hear it. They also say it doesn’t hurt pets. Look into that. ps they cost a little more but worth it.

Tell your owner he needs to treat the termites before his house falls down. LOL
