Home Pest Control Help?

Does anyone know if over the counter pest control’s work as well as hiring a professional exterminator? We have lots of spiders in our house, especially the basement. I wanted to know if anyone had success with products you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes instead of me spending $200 + $45/mo for a pest control service. Personal experience & website references would be a big help. Thanks.

I don’t know if there’s much of a “over the counter” market for spider control? I haven’t’ seen much if any. But it couldn’t hurt to look, before calling an exterminator!
    Try more light…just kidding
    -Good Luck!

My husband and I can’t afford an exterminator either- and there are some that I’m not so sure would even do the job right.
Now- at either Lowe’s or Home Depot (I forget which) my husband found a bottle of spray called Bug Stop and brought it home for me to use to kill ants. I don’t know if it will work against spiders or not, but it’s worth a shot.. Also, try sealing up any little gaps there might be in your home.
    Good luck!

I live in the top end of Australia and I have gecko’s in my house to keep those hairy legged things out. No sprays, just little lizards and they do the job fine.
