I’m finding tiny black holes in the walls in my house. I poked into them with a toothpick, and they are only about a millimeter deep. I’m still concerned that these holes are being used by termites. Reason to fear or just ordinary cracks in the plaster/wall?
I purchased a small side table from an antique mall and after a few months I started to notice termite droppings. I removed the table from the house and after a few more months noticed that the dropping stopped. So, back in the house it went…well recently I noticed that the dropping started again. I love the table but need to get rid of the termites!
We bought a 15 year old Baldwin upright recently. It appears to have some termite infestation. How can the termites be abated?
Drilling chemicals or baiting termites or commercial forms of removal are not ultimate solutions to termite problems. The presence of termites is mostly today due to human encroachment on insects and animal habitats. Do we have better ways of preventing their invasion of homes without having to pay for spraying or drilling with chemicals. Surely there must be some friendlier way of handling this. Bear in mind there is no home without papers or cellulose bearing materials!! ARE we stuck with the fumigators????!!!!
I am looking for preferably Natural remedies for Termites and Ants in the garden. Or at least something that wont be toxic to humans when the vegetables are ready to harvest.
I have a garden bed elevated surrounded by bricks. It has been infested with termites for some years now. Last year, I put down termite pellets and sprayed poison on the places where they mostly were. It didn’t solve the problem and they ate and destroyed a rosebush. There are many “treatments” for termites in the garden store, but which one is best and what is the best meathod to eliminate them from my garden and from ever coming back?
I am trying to convert an old cable reel (think super big thread holder) Anyway it is solid wood and I am staining, then varnishing the whole thing and tiling the top. Any way to keep termites from getting to it? There is no way i can get to the middle which is solid wood as well. Any ideas on how to keep it safe from the elements I would appreciate. Thanks!
How can you get rid or treat your house for Termites? I had a bag of mulch sitting in front of my house unopened for a while. This weekend I went to lay the mulch and seen all kinds of terminates inside. I tried my best to get rid of them and take them away from the house. I want to know what I can do to treat or what I can put around my house? I have a townhouse with siding. Is there something I can buy at the store and do myself?
