I’m finding tiny black holes in the walls in my house. I poked into them with a toothpick, and they are only about a millimeter deep. I’m still concerned that these holes are being used by termites. Reason to fear or just ordinary cracks in the plaster/wall?

We bought a 15 year old Baldwin upright recently. It appears to have some termite infestation. How can the termites be abated?
